A rough start to the New Year

The end of 2013 was a very tough one for me and my family. We found ourselves in the middle of a situation that every parent dreads. Someone tried to harm my daughter. While their attempt was unsuccessful, thank God, just the fact that it happened is shocking and unbelievable. I thank God my daughter is safe and no more harm was done, but this situation has completely rocked my world and that of my family. I never thought in a million years that I would have to deal with this type of situation, but even in the midst of this I can see God's grace. He allowed this to happen so nothing else would. And although relationships have been lost and ruined in the midst of this, I know that the doors have been closed for a reason, God is trying to protect me and my family. I am thankful for His protection and His strength to get through this and I know God will provide justice under His terms. In the meantime, I apologize to all my clients for not being as available as I would like. I have not had the time, drive or motivation to deal with business as usual due to this situation. I am trying to get back into the swing of things but it may take me some time to get caught up and focused on the new year ahead. I have some great things planned for my photography business this year and I am hoping I can get through this icky mess quickly so I can focus, but only God knows how long this is going to take and what is going to happen in the end.

Ava {Newborn}

I could not wait to get her in the studio! She is just adorable and has the cutest little nose, not to mention a head full of hair. We had a great time getting pictures of her and Mom and Dad. They really wanted to capture the essence of Ryan and her and all his tatoos. I think they turned out awesome! I just love black and white photos and the emotion that they evoke. We also got a few shots of her by herself. All I can say is cute!

A Birth Story-Ava

This birth story was weeks in the making. Literally! This little girl teased all of us for weeks and we thought for sure that she would make an early appearance. After several trips to the hospital and several trips back home, she finally decided to come just a few days before her actual due date. When she finally came she had a head full of hair. She is such a precious little girl! And I am sure that all of her family thinks the same thing. They were all eagerly waiting for her at the hospital. She is for sure going to be spoiled by all those older sisters!

Little Ms. Avalyn

She is soooo adorable!! She did such a great job posing for pictures with her two older cousins who absolutely adore her! You can definately tell they are all related! Such cute kids!

Vulk Kiddos

All I can say is this session was a blast!! These two kids and their cousin were so much fun! I even learned a great new joke about a "fuzzy pickle". Peyton and Danika are hilarious! Never a dull moment. It was hard not to post these right away since they are all so darn cute, but I had to wait till after Christmas so we could suprise the Grandparents. I loved their outfits and I think we got some great shots that really captured their personalities.

Titus {Newborn}

He is just so adorable!! All 10 pounds of him! I couldn't wait to get him in the studio! I have been watching his mama be pregnant most of the year while playing on a woman's softball team with her. We knew she was going to have a boy but didn't have a name to put with the cute little one till he got here. Titus fits him well! She brought him in a week or so after she had him and we managed to get a few great pictures. He wasn't too interested in sleeping or letting us put him down but a few shots was all we needed.

Synness Family { Sleeping Giant Ranch}

This session totally made my day if not my entire year! The family had bought a gift card from a local auction that I donated to and booked a couple of months in advance. I was told they had a ranch at the base of the Sleeping Giant, much to my surprise, their ranch is basically on the Sleeping Giant! I was so excited once I met up with them and started following them up the mountain! I cannot express how much I have always wanted to go up there and be that close to the Sleeping Giant. There is just something about that mountain that captivates me. It also holds a special place in the Synness Family too. They have owned the land for a long time and their pride shows. They were such a great family to work with. It was super windy and a bit cold out but they were all good sports and we got some great photos.

Karlin {6 Months old}

She is such a cutie and I cannot believe how much she has changed since she was born! I have had the honor of photographing Karlin since before she was even born so I was super excited to get her in the studio for the families infamous 6 month nudey shot! It is a 70 year tradition in her mother's family and they weren't about to be the first ones not to have the picture taken. Karlin was all smiles and we had a great session, but who could with a cheeks like hers!

The Blessing of Christmas

This year has been full of lots of blood, sweat and tears, but mostly blessings. I am so thankful for Christmas, even in the midst of a storm, to help remind me of the many blessings that this year has brought me and my family. This past month has been physically, emotionally and mentally draining due to a an unexpected family situation that I never thought I would have to deal with. And I have really been struggling to get in the Holiday spirit, but I am reminded constantly of God and his goodness, and how he has allowed me to follow my dreams this past year. I am so thankful He has given me this gift and has allowed me to share it with others. I truly enjoy taking photographs of others and I hope that I am able to do this for years to come. I hope you are each blessed this Christmas with more than just gifts but God's grace, mercy and hope! Merry Christmas, Fallon

Give thanks!

I love fall but this one has been crazy! I can hardly keep up with everything between my family, PTA Chair duties and my business! I just want to thank everyone for their patience. I want to give you the best final product possible and sometimes that meens waiting a bit longer than normal because of my volume. This fall has been super busy but I feel truly blessed. I never thought I would get this busy so fast. I have only been officially in buisness for a year this November! I just want to thank everyone for their buisness and for all the referrals. September, October and November have been amazing months! I had the honor of photographing over 130 kids between two preschools, lots and lots of babies, another birth and some amazing families! I appreciate each and every one of you and it is an honor to take photographs for you! Fallon
