A rough start to the New Year

The end of 2013 was a very tough one for me and my family. We found ourselves in the middle of a situation that every parent dreads. Someone tried to harm my daughter. While their attempt was unsuccessful, thank God, just the fact that it happened is shocking and unbelievable. I thank God my daughter is safe and no more harm was done, but this situation has completely rocked my world and that of my family. I never thought in a million years that I would have to deal with this type of situation, but even in the midst of this I can see God's grace. He allowed this to happen so nothing else would. And although relationships have been lost and ruined in the midst of this, I know that the doors have been closed for a reason, God is trying to protect me and my family. I am thankful for His protection and His strength to get through this and I know God will provide justice under His terms. In the meantime, I apologize to all my clients for not being as available as I would like. I have not had the time, drive or motivation to deal with business as usual due to this situation. I am trying to get back into the swing of things but it may take me some time to get caught up and focused on the new year ahead. I have some great things planned for my photography business this year and I am hoping I can get through this icky mess quickly so I can focus, but only God knows how long this is going to take and what is going to happen in the end.

Ava {Newborn}

I could not wait to get her in the studio! She is just adorable and has the cutest little nose, not to mention a head full of hair. We had a great time getting pictures of her and Mom and Dad. They really wanted to capture the essence of Ryan and her and all his tatoos. I think they turned out awesome! I just love black and white photos and the emotion that they evoke. We also got a few shots of her by herself. All I can say is cute!

A Birth Story-Ava

This birth story was weeks in the making. Literally! This little girl teased all of us for weeks and we thought for sure that she would make an early appearance. After several trips to the hospital and several trips back home, she finally decided to come just a few days before her actual due date. When she finally came she had a head full of hair. She is such a precious little girl! And I am sure that all of her family thinks the same thing. They were all eagerly waiting for her at the hospital. She is for sure going to be spoiled by all those older sisters!

Little Ms. Avalyn

She is soooo adorable!! She did such a great job posing for pictures with her two older cousins who absolutely adore her! You can definately tell they are all related! Such cute kids!

Vulk Kiddos

All I can say is this session was a blast!! These two kids and their cousin were so much fun! I even learned a great new joke about a "fuzzy pickle". Peyton and Danika are hilarious! Never a dull moment. It was hard not to post these right away since they are all so darn cute, but I had to wait till after Christmas so we could suprise the Grandparents. I loved their outfits and I think we got some great shots that really captured their personalities.
